This site has inspired me alot! I picked up a buddies 1980 650 Maxim a while back with intentions of bobbing it. Then i stumbled upon this site and got a lot of inspiration. Ive been working on this and lurking on this site for a while now so im just gonna start posting up the pics.

How i got it...


















I went satin white with the tins and was going to go stain black on everything else... i didnt like how "big" the white made the tank look so i changed back to satin black on everything.

I tacked everything together and tomorrow i am going to load it up and take it to my dads buddies shop where hes going to TIG everything for me. I dont mind welding up my truck and s**t but ill feel better having a pro do my bike. more updates to come SOON.

Cool. I really am interested in the kind of noise that will make! It's what I wanna do with mine, and see if I need to make any carb adjustments. Keep us posted please mate!

love the stance of the older xj's hardtailed. something about it just makes them look badass!
