Appreciate the kind words Skillet! In the middle of moving so my garage has been overtaken but I managed to get the carbs synced and took her for a spin yesterday. Done for now and back to wrenching on the XS once we get moved:

the bike looks amazing, this is an inspiration to my build right now. how hard was it to jet the carbs and did you mess with the pilot at all? I'm new to pods and carbs, but i understand that slashing the exhaust off and putting pods on you need to re jet and set the carbs

Thanks guys. Jru336 - on the jets, I took the main jets up to 116 and the pilots to 41. It's running great.

wow. hadnt much dug around in here yet. ive cut mine up pretty much the same way you guys did.
i would like a few more details on how you have your seat mounted up if you wouldnt mind. trying to find a way to make mine look "plush"

great looking bikes by the way, yall should bring the orange and blues down here to alabama during football season. you would get a hella ton of waves from the college kids haha

check mine out

LayItDown - on the seat, I cut it out of an old street sign and bent it to shape. To mount it, I welded in a piece of flat steel right in front of the frome crossmember in the back. I put 2 bolts through the top of the seat before upholstering and drilled corresponding holes in the flat steel. Also, fabricated a "tang" to slide under the spot where the original "tang" fit under the tank. You can see the flat steel, as well as my fender mount on the below photo. Please disregard the crap welding...I hadn't touch a welder in probably 10 years when I did this.

An here's the seat when I was shaping it:

Looks Great!!! Love the color. Where did you find those grips? I keep finding ones that are a bit too long. Great work. Looks amazing.
