Stuck in 1st...again

    No not the same bike. This time it happend to my wife. She rode to work in the morning with no problems then could not get it out of first gear to be able to come home.

    So I go and rescue her and the bike. We get it home and send of a PM to chacal to get some parts. Plug for chacal we ordered the parts late (12:30 am) Saturday and they parts arrived on Wed. Great service.

    I then spent Friday getting the bike ready to pull the motor ( draining the oil, disconnecting the electical parts and pulling the carbs. I was going to do a write up but I get so involved with the work that I forget to take pictures pluss I usually am covered in grease and I am not allowed to touch the camera :oops:

    Looks like it has been broken for a while now. One pice just finaly came out.
    It basicly took me all day Saturday to pull the engine, crack the case pull out the gears, remove the old part put new part in and reasemble. All the while having a brother-In-law hover over me but not helping much (other than hold a light and move it so that he could see what I was doing just as I needed the light).

    All that I need to do today is attach the final drive and attach the carb boots.
