I currently have a 3.50 H 19 Metzler Laser Front skin.
I NEED some new skins....
I know the 19 is wheel diameter, the H is the speed rating, but what is 3.50? Inches?
Accually my REAL question is "What is the conversion to metric?"
3.50 is tough to find w/ the tires I like

110-90-19 IIRC was the front tire size of the 650 maxim...

I think the rear rim was 3.5 inches wide, and the front was 2.5 inches wide. That's the rim width, not the tire width.

Again - I can't really remember to be sure.

I just bought a rear tire about an hour ago. My rim says 3.00 x 16. The tire on it before the change was 130/80 r16. Now it is a 130/90 r16, as recomended to me. I GOOGLED " motorcycle tire conversion " and found alot of information on it. But none of it worked out to what my rim says to the tire that was put on it. Maybe I am reading the information wrong.

A bit off-topic, but do you ever head out to the Davis Mountains dlanthripe?
Turner Falls or any other parks?

That tire is what is on there now, and wondering what other sizes could replace that...simmilar sizes of course.
The Metzler LaserTec is the only one I have found that has 3.50's
Any suggestions?

The OEM tire on your SECA was a 3.25 H19

The Metric equivalent is 100/90-19 with an H speed rating.

For the 1983 XJ750 M Midnight Maxim, the tires are:

Front: 3.25-19

Rear: 130/90 -16 67H

I got this info from going to bikebandit.com and looking at the oem parts descriptions.

The 3.25-19 is not all that easy to find anymore, so the metric equivalent is 100/90 -19 (also sometimes shown as 1MM/90 -19.

The first # is the section width (in milimeters)

The second # refers to the height of the sidewall, or the Aspect Ratio.

The third is the wheel diameter in inches.

The fourth # is the load index or how much weight a tire can support in pounds.

The last item is the speed rating.

If there is an "R" prior to the diameter, that would mean that the tire is a Radial.

So, using my rear tire as an example:

The Section Width of the tire is: 130.
The Aspect Ration is: 90 (the tire is almost as tall as wide)
The Wheel Diameter is: 16
The Load Index is: 67 ( or 677 lbs)
and the Speed Rating is: H ( up to 130 mph)

I had similar questions last week when I was getting new tires for my Maxim. I found a couple of fitment guides that were very helpful in determining the size I wanted. The guides show the OE size as well as some suggestions for replacements.
