Was rebuilding a set of carbs off of an xj seca 650. The PO stripped out the fuel/air mixture
screw after wedging it in tight. I can't get it out, so I'm looking for a #1 / left side carb body
in good rebuildable shape. Not burned up or missing a float pivot post. If need be, I'll buy
all 4 carb bodies in a set. I have all the rest of the carb components. And only need a stripped down body.

have you tried drilling it and using a #1 easy out? give it a try even if just for the practice of doing it.

I got it out but damaged the threads. Do you Know What size tap Would be needed to clean the threads up in the mixture screw seat ?

Are they coarse threads or fine threads?

I have a set of left hand drill bits that work like magic on those screws. Haven't wrecked one yet.

I have no idea if they’re the same size but I have a complete rack for a 750rj available.

The brass mixture screws are a bear to remove compared to the steel ones.

does anyone know what diameter , thread pitch, and thread count for the fine thread mixture screws.
If I could get a machine screw that matches, I could screw it into the few remaining threads, squeeze
some JB weld in from the top and back the screw out, restoring the threads, kind of.
