Cable placement 84 xj750

I recently rebuilt and cleaned my carbs before reading the church of clean of course so I didn't take any pictures or make any notes of proper placement of the enrichment cable or clutch cable bracket. Does anyone have any step by step photos of where they should be located? It looks like my enrichment cable should go between 3 and 4 but I have to much slack in the cable and my clutch cable bracket won' fit
I've looked throughout the forum but all the pictures available were blocked by photobucket

 

You say an 84, is it the Xj750rl?

Hi I have a 82 yamaha xj650 maxim. I bought new cable from amazon with part number I got from yamaha parts website. I installed it and pulled the throttle a few times. Didnt see it stick at all.. but if I turn the bike to the left it will rev il. Why would it do that when I replaced the cable with brand new one

Yup, it’s routed incorrectly and when you turn the bars it is pulling the outer sheath out of the holder which in turn opens the throttle.

 

Is there a diagram for 86 xj650 for cable placemeant

 

In the back of the service manual there is a diagram with cable routing.

 

Ya it was a little hard to read. Not sure exactly how it was suppose to go. I tried to follow diagram but I ended up with same result
