    IMG_0539.JPG My brother had this bike when I was young and I'm looking for a fairing like this cause I've bought another one to build for his 55th birthday . Also can anyone tell me exactly what fairing this is from Yamaha??

    I've seen several like this on ebay needing extensive plastic repair or missing mounting brackets or windscreens.
    What kind of plastic are they made from ?

    I experimented and found that ABS plastic can be repaired with fiberglass cloth and ABS plastic pipe cement. Sand the repair area, prime with
    ABS primer, apply ABS cement, saturating and shaping the fiberglass cloth, let it harden ( may take a couple of days ) top off with Bondo and
    sand to shape.
