Good-- he's firm on the price. That way nobody will buy it, thank goodness.

Wow, that peanut tank really does not fit well! I almost want to buy it just to take it off.

That is what is referred as a Frisco mounted tank. Never understood the allure of that style.

The slap dash silver paint job on the engine would kinda scare me. Check out the paint on the exhaust header flanges and valve cover.

I don't believe that is a slap-dash paint job. I believe te the cyls and the head have been stripped to show aluminum. The header collars are stripped/paint-worn.....not slap-painted. The exhaust pipes are showing wear, the silvers is where black as worn off and showing bare metal underneath....not more paint slapped around.

I've heard that the CBX carbs are super difficult to tune. Anyone have experience with them?

Yeah, 1000cc, effin' wide monster, 6 carbs to sync... Sounds like an F1 engine. I'm very interested in them, but I doubt I would have the skills necessary to keep one running.

Kawasaki did a 1300 six. There’s a guy on kzrider rebuilding one. Cool vid of a test/stunt rider on one back in the day.

Yeah, the ultimate shots fired in the late 70's superbike wars! If I could afford to build it and hire a staff mechanic, I'd love to build a cbx custom frame chopper

Yeah that makes more sense looking at it again just now. You can see the little rubber pieces in the cooling fins that don't have paint on them.

Yes Giant pita to remove and install. honda uses those aircut valves and if any are bad you have to strip the whole shebang to replace them and accelerator pumps fail as well.
Use 2 sets of carbstixs to sync them. And charge the poor fool that left rotten gas in them an arm and leg to do it.
$1000 for a full re&re is not out of the question. Air cut valves at 30-50$ each if you can find them
