Last time I read "30 year old bikes" it made me think this would be a fun question for everyone to answer.

Me: Older than my 29 year old XJ650, (but we both still 'run good').

I'm 2-1/4 times older than my 83 Maxim.

I was already 35 years old on the day she got built!

Yeah, but you'll only be twice as old as her in 2018!

I was twice as old as mine in 1996, but we didn't know each other yet.

Haha Nice - good topic. I am actually my XJ's junior by 6 years... XJ is an '82 while I'm an '88. I do have my '03 R6 beat by quite a bit...even my first Seca had me by 4 years when I bought it/sold it when I was 16 though.

Lessee... One XJ is 30, one 29, one 28 and the Norton is 37. I'm NOT 124 years old, so no.

Older than any two of them put together-- as long as you're only talking XJs, then I'm older than any two of mine combined.

And I'm not OLD old until I say so.

I was 26 when my Maxim was made, I remember seeing my first XJ at Brattin motors in San Diego. At the time I was enjoying my BMW R90s. Little did I know that this Maxim and my beemer had nearly the same top speed.

I was designed and built in the Santa Ana, CA Long Factory late 1984, which would put me eight years older than my '92.

Yep.......70s on up bikes are late model............ 8O

I mean really, no pushrods, generators, mags, rigid frames, brakes that are worthless when up to specs, hand shifts, tyres made out of concrete.........etc.

XJs are are cake!....Ya got this forum, Len and Ebay...What more do ya need?

I have kids almost as old as my xj.

But here's the thing, when I am looking for technical assistance, I always want to find the guy with the gray hair. Don't even point me toward the kid with all his hair and no pot belly.

Also, just wondering about the age breakdown regarding who runs pods?

Remember, not all change is progress.

My '82 Maxim is 4 years older than me. And I have all of my hair, but with the beer belly. A very athletic beer belly...
