So I did the fuse box update and everything is wired in correctly. Now I had a new key made and I have no power to anything but the rear left blinker. It just stays solid. All my fuses and grounds are good. I am at a loss here. Nothing has power when it did before.

What was the state of things before the fusebox upgrade?
Was any other electrical work done by you at any time prior?
Can you post a photo of the new fusebox as it sits on the bike?

So I put stock blinkers back on, and everything lit up and worked right. But my key switch cover is busted so it’s not holding a great connection there. I couldn’t find a new one since mine has the 2 plug harness, so i ordered a used one. Waiting on that in the mail.

If the used one has problems, contact Chacal. He usually has most parts, even if it's not in the catalog.

I will be sure to contact him if need be. I think it’s most of my issues. Also my starter button doesn’t work, and my digital display just shows everything as wrong I think. Like it’s in a systems check loop. And if I try to use blinkers they just go dim and don’t do anything

That handy bit of info leads right to the keyswitch being at fault.

So i replaced the key switch and nothing changed, if I run a jump wire from back blinker to battery I get tail lights, brake lights, and turn signals stay solid when engaged. Also no headlight, gauge lights, neutral light or start button. I’m thinking a ground somewhere but no clue where to start. I noticed two grounds under tank next to coils but do nothing when grounded. I’m at a loss so far

those 2 grounds should be under the coil bolt harness grounds.
you need 27 or 28 watt bulbs to make stock flasher work

check to make sure battery ground goes to motor and motor has a ground wire to frame

have you replaced the fuse box could be your problem too

    how to
Clean and lube the ignition switch

start with basic info battery positive goes to main fuse then to key switch and returns to the rest of the fuses. check fuses

headlight only comes on when motor spins or is running.

i use this to test fuse circuits clip to crimps and put proper fuse value in it

Prior owner to me replaced coils, and they were just zip tied up. Also I see the ground going from battery to motor, but nothing from motor to frame. Where should that go? I only have one ground to battery. And i did update fuse panel to the newer style push fuse type. When i pull fuses i get cut off at the correct circuits. I’m answering to best i can lol I’m not good at electrical

I have a XJ750 seca i don’t have a chain. Shaft drive. So I don’t know if it’ll be the same or not. And what does the coil bolt harness look like?

I connected the two eyelet ground under the tank and I have left blinker, headlight and a faint tail light. I cleaned them and the ground surface. Maybe that’s my issue?

it was part of your issue you also need to ground frame to motor as shown in photos

check the bullet ground connectors for signals front and back also get proper bulbs clean sockets with electric spray and use dielectric grease on all connectors you take apart they all need to be cleaned

I had the same problem until I cleaned the turn signals and put grease on the connectors. You wouldn’t think doing something very simple would cure a problem like that.

voltage drop is the enemy. each dirty connector adds to the resistance droping the voltage and conductivity. the Lead ends of the bulb dent in and lose contact. simple little things add up could even just be he needs new bulbs. I changed bulb out and blinking problem went away old bulb would light and flash when rpms were at 1500 but stop when below that. new bulb flashed with just key on.
