It's pretty much that or fab your own. Not many companies making custom parts for these bikes these days. Got any cool metal fab shops near you? Sometimes you can strike up a conversation with the guy/gal and get them interested in your project. Sometimes not. Worth a shot. I got in good with a powdercoater when I redid my bike, was charging about $5/part to blast and coat for the smaller parts after the frame.

If you do decide to go with forward controls, I would recommend leaving some form of foot peg in or close to the factory position. It's nice to have options. Granted I'm more than fairly green when it come to bikes, I will say I was very happy to have 2 different foot positions on my bike for my trip to Dubuque, Iowa and that is roughly only a 3 hour ride from me depending on route I take.

Two foot positions nice for switching but also it's nice to have the mid mounted factory pegs, allows you to push your body up to take weight off the seat when needed for cornering and bumpy rides.

Agree. My Rebel only has forwards, and it's work to get out of the seat. Makes train tracks interesting!
