    Hello,

I'm looking for handlebar clamps for my Yamaha XJ600 51J 1989 as shown on this picture (the chrome bits). Does anyone know where to find those?

    Thanks

if the bottom of the clamp and the silver part are separate pieces, just put a spacer in there and use a longer bolt

I can't see a real big market selling those.
How many FJ/XJ600 riders are converting their OEM handlebars to standard mount bars?

Ebay has a plethora of clamps and risers. Just choose your flavor, new or used.

If I understand what Zeus is trying to do, it is to mount standard handlebars to the FJ/XJ600.
The top triple tree has a notched boss, almost like a gear arrangement to position the OEM handlebars at different angles.
In my opinion you need what he has identified in the pic, or machine the notches down to a smooth surface then look on Ebay.

Rickard, no I didn't. It appears that the ones on the picture are custom made/crafted.

Take the top triple clamp to a machine shop and have him mill the saw toothed lower flat, then have him turn (lathe) two aluminum risers to your taste
and to clear the fork and stem then bolt on a set of traditional pinch clamps. I bought some used traditional pinch clamps for a few dollars (USD).at the salvage yard. It's little bit of work
but pretty straightforward. I've done this mod on three bikes thus far and my latest the XJ Maxim because I changed the forks
    Cheers, 50gary

you can just put the "black" raisers straight onto the top of the serrated "notches with a thick flat washer between. I did this with mine , with no problems.
but as far as the picture goes ,I can't see the point in putting raisers on ,then dropping the fork tubes through the clamps?!
