Looking for help but... privileges?

hey all. Does anyone know how I get more privileges on this site? I’m looking for parts and have so many questions, but I can’t seem to post in the places that my questions belong. I just got my license this week and my ‘82 XJ650 needs some love before I feel safe riding it. thanks for any advise on using this site

there are reconstructed threads that are locked you will see a padlock icon on the right on locked threads.

you can start a thread in the tech forum with questions about your bike and any problems you run into. title it something like Linds 82 XJ650 that way we have a full history of what you do and need
