    I am fed up with this Winter. Last Ukrainian Autumn quite quick turned to colds and rains so there were very few days full of all shades of red and yellow. Then all that beauty faded away.

    Thus we now have fifth cold month in a row and it became boring. Even now I may see through the window a cityscape all covered in snow. I hope weather forecast is right and Spring will eventually turn up next week. But today all I may do is to look again into the previous Spring archive photos.

    Few of things I like, you fit a front mudguard instead of the no guard half arsed unfinished look, you don't use stupid vintage car tyres for looks and the proportions are good because instead of the stupid little cut off seats you use a decent length

    The use of those mini 'cans' on the Honda down-pipes is very inventive - looks cool too. How are they secured togther and where did you source them? Cheers J

    Thank you for good words!

    Here is how they attached to motorcycle: http://www.gazzz-garage.com/2017/11/03/seven-fifty-cafe-racer-exhaust-mufflers-bracket/

    I found them on ebay couple of years ago. Suppose those mufflers were part of supplies from another “forgotten and then found” motorcycle parts store in USA:

    Nope. Even if not count the host of this year Cup, I have never caught what is exciting in football. And if to dig deeper, looks like I was born with sub zero level of affection to any kind of sport, even to motorcycle related sports.

    Hello again.

    Have nothing to write about my XJ. It just runs as good as always, but it's quite hard to gain good mileage on one bike when you have three bikes, one of them only finished. Thus I have not a lot of rides on my “Eight Ball” this year. However, this year we participated in some local festival

    And there I saw funny thing related with XJs . Here is local receipt for situation when one gets Yamaha XJ750 without title and wish to ride it: shove XJ in a frame of old soviet boxer motorcycle and then add some Czech sidecar for more piquant taste.

    Meanwhile, next project (based on Kawasaki KZ650 engine and frame) is in process.

    Inboard disc will give it a nice classic "drum brake" look, did you just use the holes where the rivets where to fit the spoke?

    Yep, the idea is to get "drum brakes" look with disc brake performance.

    I designed adapters for spokes and ordered them to be CNC machined from 6mm aluminium. Here you may find more information:

    No air box on the XJ 750 sidecar outfit. I wonder how that one runs? On this board they say that it (virtually) it cannot be done? Probably has twice the power of the original motor, good solution.
    Cheers, 50gary

    Those pod filters on XJ750 is obviously cheap stuff.

    However not all of pod filters are devices of evil designed by enemy of mankind to fry our brains and kill our bikes.

    The rules are simple. One who decided to install pod filters on his motorcycle should:

    1) have a really good reason to do so;
    2) do not buy cheap stuff;
    3) be ready to re-jet carburetors in right way.

    Last point is most tricky. Usually this process requires the change of main and pilot jets (usually more than once) and in many cases needles as well. Personally I change jets initially according to what changes I made to engine and once settings in my opinion is close to perfect I ride the motorcycle to one friend of mine who has a Dyno and wideband oxygen probe in his garage. Available equipment not only allows monitoring in real time ratio of the air/fuel mixture (rich or lean), but also to save log so I could analyze this information later and then make grounded adjustments to carburetors.
