I've just had to reset my password, again. I haven't wrongly entered the password, not after numerous tries to make sure. That's what happened last time, too. It seems to happen after I have been away from the forum for some weeks. Can somebody look into this please?

No, it's always on the same computer.

The passwords were screwed up after the software migration about 6months ago. Since then, the passwords do not change unless they are changed by the user.

Since It seems that, this thread apart, I haven't made a post since October 2014, that is probably it. Thanks, SnoSheriff.

@ SnoSheriff: "The passwords were screwed up after the software migration about 6months ago. Since then, the passwords do not change unless they are changed by the user."

Well, I have just had to get a new password, so that doesn't seem to be the case. I entered the old one about six times, most carefully, and it was not recognised. I wasn't best pleased.

@Greenbike I'm not sure what to tell you. I have 2 user ids (this one and SnoTest test user) and I didn't have to re-set my passwords since the migration Sep/2014

Hey Peter, I don't have a problem with my password but I do have to sign in every time I go to the site which is some times several times a day. Any ideas?

@Maxim-X Put a checkmark in the "Stay logged in" box beside the Login button. I use that on my cell phone and I'm logged in every time I visit the site from my phone...

I forgot to mention that I do check that box every time.

I just tested the Firefox browser on my laptop:
    • When my browser clears/deletes cookies when I close the window. Then I need to login every time to this site
    • When I changed the settings not to clear cookies when I close the window. Then I didn't have to sign in into this site. It remembered my previous session.

Ok, I'll take a look at my settings. I was doing a bit of cleaning a while back.

It has happened again. My password was not recognised and I had to apply for a new one. This happens every time I am away from the forum for a couple of weeks or more. This is the third time I've had to waste time on this. This is the only site this happens on. This is NOT SATISFACTORY.

Is there any danger of this being sorted out any time soon?

You're too funny. Yelling and demanding...

Dude, if it can't be replicated then it can't be fixed. Seems to work fine on this end.

Funny, I haven't been on here for a few weeks, and I had no problem logging back in.

As I've told people many times before; "I can't troubleshoot what I can't see."
