removing broken bolts from 650 head

    wow.Torch means flashlight? I never would have thought that.I wasnt going to do that, but i was curious why one would be needed.I appreciate all input.I am not going to go to the trouble of replacing the head and its gaskets and not remove the cylinder block and replace the base gasket.36 year old gaskets.Replace one and then the old one leaks.Do it all over.Not my idea of fun.

    There's a couple of O-rings down there also (between the jugs and the crankcase) that you'll wan to replace, too. 4 large rings around the jugs, and two small ones around the #4 outer studs.

    It is odd how we in the U.S. stuck with the name long after lightbulbs were good for more than a few seconds of light at a time.

    Yes I know about the orings.There are several things that reveal themselves to be replaced once an engine dissasembly is in progress.I also know if a oring looks flat, even height with the head or cylinder surface its because its worn out.It should be slightly rounded on top as a new one will be when first installed. The comments about flashlight are very interesting.I learned something new today.Cool.
