I've noticed while scouring for parts that many bikes are missing their right side battery cover panel. I have just recently bought a 1982 XJ650J Maxim that is also missing that side cover. What have some of you done to cover up the battery in the case of a missing battery panel?

Thanks k-moe, I've been checking Ebay, but I can certainly try posting an ad.
I'm thinking about fabricating one out of sheet metal but I wanted to see what others had done to see if I could save some time. I appreciate your help.

Making one out of fiberglass might be easier. All you need is a fairly descent one to make a mold. Then you could go into production of them. I need one also for a 81 XJ650.

This thread peaked my interest because the ones on ebay for my bike have missing plastic clips and are absurdly expensive for being broken.

Law of supply and demand. There is no supply therefore there is great demand!

Check locally for 3D printing places. In Minneapolis, there's a guy that custom prints small body parts for 60's & 70's Hondas.
