Oooh! I forgot about those... Mmmmmm.

I have a pocket humidor. It's a leather case that has a cedar lining. Holds 2 cigars, and there is a little block of cedar you soak to provide humidity. Not a great long term option, but nice for concealed carrying.

Next question: what do you use to cut your cigar? One of the guillotine things? Scissors? Rip the end off with your teeth? I have a device that cuts a 1/4" hole in the tip and pulls out a little plug of tobacco. Very tidy, but just shreds dry wrap, so it's gotta be fresh.

If it's a figurado I'll usually snip or bite it, if it's a parejo I cut a star pattern * with a pocket knife, very simple and gives a knife full draw!

Guillotine usually; V-Cutter frequently; Punch (9 mm) sometimes- got to keep it sharp and use a slight twist to prevent shredding.

    Uugggh! Cringe!

I should specify that biting is when nothing else is available lol

How do you sharpen a circular blade? I use diamond steel and leather for a straight blade, but can't figure how to do the punch!

Go to a wood working website, you can get ceramic sharpening rods and semi-circle ceramic stones, technique depends on what you're trying to sharpen and where the bevel is...as you make your Stokes rotate the rod/ stone at same time food by a piece of leather on a dowel rod with a good stropping compound....what are you trying to sharpen?

My cigar punch. The blade is bent into a 1/4" circle that pulls a core-section out of the cigar. It retracts with a twist, popping the core out. Pretty baller!

Is the bevel on inside or outside? I'm assuming outside... personally for that I'd use small long flat stone at an angle and rotate the punch as you make your Stokes then use a round ceramic rod to take out the bur on the inside...you could even use the top edge of your car window to sharpen it lol

Chuck it in a drill if you can. I have seen spent shell casings with a sharpened edge used as punches.

So here is another questions, what is your preferred method of lighting your sticks? Wood matches, regular buttane lighter, butane torch, cedar spill? Other? I'm partial to spills myself but it's a pain to toast the foot properly....

    Fire.

Really, whatever is available. Torch usually, especially if outdoors where there is a breeze. Never mess with spills.
