Xj900 probelms

    When bike is started has a miss in it dont know if it is carbs or electrical please help

    You'll have to isolate it better..... right now you're basically calling your dr and saying, "Dr., I don't feel quite 100%......can you give a prescription?".

    Start here, but don't do them all at once. Do one, then run a bit to see it it clears up:

    Put new plugs in and check for spark

    Treat the gas with seafoam

    Have carbs ever been cleaned

    Have valve clearances ever been checked/adjusted

    Unthread the plug wires caps trim a little off end of wire and thread back on and as hogfiddles says do this first!!!

    Give it a TINY bit of choke while running....if it changes, you know that it's carburation if not, electrical.

    If it gets better, its carb related.
    If it gets worse, it may or may not be carb related
