<br />
As you may know I&#039;ve been working on this bike for a long time but recently had an issue that was beyond my expertise and time so I took it into trusted mechanic who identified a top end gasket issue.<br />
<br />
During the tear down here we unfortunately found several other issues, some very bad wear between the cams and head some internal wear on the cylinders ( no hashing left ) and some piston play in the bottom end. All said and done it&#039;s going cost way too much here to fix these...<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[I have a &#039;82 xj1100 I bought new, about 40k miles. it&#039;s been sitting at my parents house for 25 years, I&#039;ve been saving it to fix up to use someday, but that day isn&#039;t coming anytime soon, it&#039;s in Sacramento and I live out of the country. I plan to be in Sacramento for xmas or maybe in jan-feb. I would rather the bike go to a good home than have it towed away, anybody that wants it, and can come pick it up with a trailer, needs tires, battery and most likely carb rebuilding to get it...<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[Do you have a bike with a cracked and dry rotted intake boot? I can reproduce them in aluminum and silicone that will last many more miles. Properly sealing intakes will vastly help your tuning process!<br />

I have previously made a small run of intakes for the 1985 Honda XR350 because a friend needed one for his project bike and couldn&#039;t find one, so I figured I would reach out and see if anyone else is having this issue with other motorcycles or dirtbikes.
