Hi everyone!

Hi I just got a 82 xj1100 today 2802 miles but it hasnt been well care for! Was left out in the snow etc last winter, so let the fun begin, all electrics lights etc work runs good but will go through carbs and tune it up needs front tire soon, carb to engine boots cracked, oh well I only paid 450.00 for it, how much can you get for a decent 1100? Thanks

you can replace the boots or clean them with carb cleaner then coat them with fuel resistant black rtv .work it into any cracks.
2800 miles if speedo is correct you will just be rebuilding brake system replacing tires and rebuilding carbs. regrease wheel bearings those should still be fine
reality of it all check all systems and bring them to spec.

price wise around where I live 1500 to 2500 is what I see for running driven bikes . just not many 82XJ1100s as it was a one year bike in US. I see far more XS1100

just buy new boots. I got this set off Amazon for 25$ for my XS11, they fit perfect. Did not come with gaskets though. Easy enough to make them.
