According to the Specs on the sides of my tires, it says MAX 40lbs.
So I run it with 40 each, smooooth ride.
    My opinion=
Check the writing on your tires and adjust to your like-ings...

Tires should be inflated to the specification of the rim manufacturer. The tire manufacturer sets a maximum inflation limit on the tire (since the tire is used by more than just a few models, it must be able to forfill a number of applications) but the rim is the deciding factor. Stick with the factory inflation rate unless you are racing.

i run mine at 30/32, and havent had any problems, smooth riding, and good traction.

And true that to roberts comment. Tires come with MAX inflation specs. but to really determine appropriate inflation pressures, always check with the vehicle manufacturer. Running a tire at max inflation can increase your chances of a blow out. NOT GOOD!

and last but not least, one quick question for you polock... are you checking your pressures after less than 1 mile of riding? because the factory recomendations are "cold air inflation pressures" so if you have been riding for a while, add about 4 PSI to the specs while filling, as the tire is now hot, and the PSI has risen.

    32 front /41 rear

I was running 32 in the back, went through a gt501 in about 2000 miles. Was getting way too hot for street riding(nice and sticky though :p ) oh, I weigh 240 with gear.

lol - too hot for street riding :D ?

The GT is nice and sticky when it's hot... :D although I agree with bumping up the rear preasure so that you can more equal heat between the front and back.
