I'm posting this for my buddy Dave Rea:

OK, it's official, the 6th annual Lehigh Valley CC & social gathering will be
held Saturday July 31st here at my place in Coopersburg, Pennsylvania. I'm an hour from Philly and about two hours from NYC. Super easy to get to since I'm located about a minute from interstate I78 which runs East/West through Pennsylvania.

Festivities will kick off at 8:00 AM with coffee and danish.

BBQ lunch around 12:30 depending on where we are on a XJ project.

Group ride around 5:00 to a destination close to I78 so everyone can get
home easy, Of course again, this depends on where were are on a project.
Hopefully everything will be wrapped up before the group ride.

As usual, ALL bikes welcome ) As are riding buddies, no need to ask if you can bring a friend.

I simply ask you please RSVP so I know how many to expect.

Anyone wanting to stay over Friday/Saturday evening can check out local
hotels here. Sorry, I have no experience with any of these places. Please
email me before you book so I can check it out in advance.

Hope to see many of you here!

Re: 6th annual LVCC very close to Allentown.

We'll be doing the typical carb clinic activities >> Sync, colortune or whatever you need.

We are planning a "major tuning" on Jim's X. If time permits, valve clearance, dyna coils, throttle shaft seals, airbox boots, and then it will need a major carb reset. (probably a two day job unless it goes REALLY well)

Two years ago we did a major front end rebuild on Dave's 86 xj700n with new taper bearings, fork seals, oil change, caliper build, and brake pads.
Last year was less constructive and we only did throttle shaft seals on one rack and some misc wiring activities on mine.

Drop me a PM if you plan to attend and if you have any projects that might require a bit more planning/parts. If you just want to show up and B.S. that is fine. We'll have some garage space as well as a good size tent to keep us dry if it decides to rain.

Dave doesn't have a lot of space for camping between his trees and rocks but I'm about 30 minutes northeast of him with an acre plus of flat dry grass or another XJer about an hour west has offered his backyard if anyone needs a place to camp out.

    Great.
It looks like we are going to have a pretty big turnout.

I think we just added a master cylinder rebuild to the list of projects.

I'm going to link this up to the thread on the baltimore one I was trying to get going. Maybe I can get a pack of us to cruise up there.

skills4lou if you get your schedule cleared give me a shout. Maybe we could meet up on the way up there. I'm taking the interstate route this year.

Two week warning....Ok, less than two weeks :)

Looks like we have a lot of projects to do. Drop me a note if you have anything major you want to accomplish so I can make sure there is "shop space" available and if you want me to order parts with a group order to reduce shipping.

The clinic is at Dave Rea's house.

I can write up directions if the google link above doesn't work but it couldn't be easier to get to the place. Eastbound, take exit 59, straight at the end of ramp and you are there.
Drop me a PM with your cell phone and I'll give you my cell phone so we can contact each other if there are any problems. I have a trailer available if for some reason your bike gets cold feet and stops before you get to the clinic.

Looking forward to it, Mike. I don't expect to need to do anything to mine.....if you need me to bring tools, or VISE-GRIPS......or WD40 <snicker>, let me know and I'll throw them in the pack. I will bring along my carbtune, as well.

I will be heading down Friday and stay overnight at my parents' house, and head to the clinic early sat.

I'll call you, too, in the next couple of days.

Well, I'm not gonna be able to make it. The engine in my truck has crapped out on me. So far it's looking like best case scenario it's gonna be $800, and I'm doing most of the work. So, lack of funds/time will prevent me from attending. Hope you guys have a great time.

I'm told the fancy google map only gives the street view and not the real address to get directions, so here it is:
    2779 Brentwood Dr.
    Coopersburg, PA 18036

We have requested that the rain stay away and a cool breeze come in.

Bummer you can't make it skills4lou :( ...more beer and burgers for me I guess

The weather looks to be BEAUTIFUL on Saturday for a carb-clinic and generally good riding weather.
Maybe we will luck out this year for once.

Drop me a PM if you want cell phone numbers (just in case you run into problems)...better safe than sorry.

I'm out. Bike was tuned and ready last night. Go over today and flat battery. So I haven't even gotten 1 mile since reassembly on it yet.

The 6th annual LVCC has come and gone. I think (and hope) everyone had a good time. Considering how hot and humid it's been around here all summer, we really had a great day weather wise for the get together.

Glad to hear most everyone got home safe. I know Omar isn't leaving until Monday AM and Mike K said he was heading to NYC for a visit before returning home. Please let me know guys when you get back to the GTA.

I plan to do a full write up of the days events but in the mean time I put together a slide show of the pics I took, complete with captions. Looking forward to seeing every ones pics in the coming days!

    Enjoy the pics.....

That was fun, I learned a lot and even the food and bevs were really good. The Seca really appreciated her new shoes and cleaned yics port. And the look on Jame's face, after his test ride, after his carbs were cleaned and synched, was priceless. Thanks, thanks, thanks!!

Now who has those very cool XJ Tshirts?
