Has that bike ever had the valve clearance check and adjustments done?

Prev. owener says yes. but no proof, and I am not 100% competent to try.
So might as well say no.

I only had this bike a couple weeks with intentions of getting it running.
Was in need of carb overhaul. I did that and re did some sketchy wiring with solder and heat shrink.
And the tank was rusty form setting so I re lined that.

Only thing I can see the bike needing is fork seals.
I rode the bike a bit yesterday, runs simply amazing.
I may or may not sell it, I am just simply wondering.
I didnt plan on it being so much fun to ride.

Hard to judge overall value without seeing and hearing it in person. But, with how you've described it, I wouldn't expect to get any more than the high teens for it.

I see most of the nice ones with the asking price in the $2000-$2900 range, even higher in some cases, but I have no clue of what they actually sell for.

For reference, I got $2900 for the 85 X I had with 11K on it, that I sold last year. It took a lot of work to get it fixed up, being it was somewhat neglected. You wouldn't know it by watching the video that I made prior to selling it:

So be realistic in your asking price and you shouldn't have any problem with the sale. They are arguably one of the best Factory "Frankenbikes" ever produced.

Appreciate it. This one I would say was not neglected too much if at all. Near no rust at all on it. I seen some so high on craigslist and not that nice. Just want to be honest if I decide to sell.
    Yours was beautiful!
    Thanks!

Not a problem, just wanted to put things in perspective. And, there's lots of help here on the forums if you decide to keep it.
