I read these forums and I have missed BigFitz's to the point, with all seriousness jovial style of sharing knowledge and direction. Haven't seen any posts in a while. Hope all is well with the Big Fitzer..

Hi guys, thanks for being concerned. And apologies for not checking in.

No intentional sabbatical just one old guy being pummeled by "Life 101" causing a severe shortage of "me" time.

Those of you who've known me for a while know that I'm a single parent, with a long commute. Recent changes to my job 'parameters' and an aggressive new web filter make participation from work a thing of the past; plus I'm just too damn busy to play on the innanet. Since daylight savings time went away my commute suddenly got substantially longer because apparently nobody remembers how to drive in the dark, either. Plus, orange-barrel season was apparently extended this year. Quite often I get home so late I never even fire up the 'puter and I don't do the smartphone thing. Add in Kid issues (son that lives with me in the hospital for 2 days over Thanksgiving with a spontaneous collapsed lung, he's OK) car issues (VW needed a MAF sensor and spark plugs) kid's car (don't ask) house issues (heat and a power outage) it's lucky I have time for any of my own pursuits.

I'll try not to be a stranger. It's just that every time I think I see the light at the end of the tunnel, it IS a locomotive coming toward me.

I gotta go make dinner now.

    DEFINE "NORMAL."

I sure as heck can't and I've been trying for way too many years.

But yeah, I'm not dead yet. Just old and tired and busier than I should have to be. My "life" is not my own.

How goes the snow, Dave? Our measley 4" went away when it rained.

Fitz is only online for one day in the past month?!? I glance at his profile and this surprising stat is displayed: "No recent activity information is available for bigfitz52."
