George, your bike is a Maxim. It's not rare, or worth as much as a Seca. Go ahead and cut it up.

Oh yeah, learn to use the internet.

Hey George. If you review this thread, something becomes pretty clear. It is not the group as a whole that is being negative. The vast majority is very positive. It's just that the judgemental comments from the minority seem to stand out more. I guess if you saw a moron standing on a box in a crowded square shouting that everyone except him was an idiot, which person would you remember?

Hey matty, do me a favor and eat a turd. You already ride one.

I'll do all you builders a favor and check out of this place. It's not for me. Not my type of bikes. Good luck with your projects.

    I know I said I wouldn't respond to pjb's posts, but I gots to.
Ha! You are soo wrong! I do NOT ride a piece of turd. I can't even get my piece of turd to start!
Also, I never mentioned anyone in my post, so if you feel it is directed at you specifically, that must be your judgement of your own posts. Sorry you feel the need to check out. I did like the pics of the bikes you put up, especially the CBX! Must be a beast, especially at carb tuning time! Just not a fan of the negativity. So it goes.

Just a side track on bikes that maybe shouldn't be cut... I watched a show the other day called "Cafe Racer" and a guy chopped and turned a '55 Vincent into a cafe racer! Holy rare bike, Batman! I forget how much he sold it for afterwards, but I think it was over 50 thousand! I wouldn't have cut it up,but it did look pretty cool.

Your bike, your sweat and blood, your cash. Nobody else's opinion matters. I think it looks deadly

Pjb3 no longer visits these forums. Wasn't getting the support for his negativity that his ego needed, so he took his toys and went home. People may advise you and give you their opinions, but in the end, we strive to support.

Where did this original bike go which Turbo was bobbing? It looked like it was gonna be a nice two wheeler. It's not my style at 54 years young, but then again it's a two wheeler creation. I'd like to have seen his progress and what? what happened? I see no more pics or explanations...which Turbo was giving us, did you guys chase a bike builder away?!? Turbo, get back here and post your project dude, it's a piece of art, come back!

One good thing came from that fracas :pjb03 also left. We were too positive for him. Supporting home build bikes wasn't for him.

Well, if he's not going to entertain and inform us on his bobber progress, then I'll show you my 1981 XJ650 Maxim conversion to bobber... grin and bare ;) I couldn't figure out where to mount the brake, so it's boot soles, and at least I don't need to worry about checking my tire pressure
