so not to hi-Jack a different thread and kind of an interesting question.

    I inherited my Grandpa's Mercury Monarch (1978?).
It was abused (sorry Grandpa Joe) and later my sister took out a church's mailbox with it in a snow storm.

Two other guys had Ford Granada's (basically the same as a Monarch) and we would posse around!

I had a '74 Chevy Caprice. It was an absolute boat, didn't look cool, and guzzler of gas. However, I could dig enough chance to keep gas in it at the prices back then.

84 Chrysler LeBaron convertible, leather and a full digital dashboard with a little electronic voice that talked to me and warned me of ajar doors and other problems. If only I had listened all those times it kept telling me my oil pressure was low...:(

My ride alternated between various mid- 80's Models of Nike, and an early 80's Blue Bird.
I did get to drive a 1981 Chevette a few days of my senior year.

Graduated in 1976. Drove my grandfathers 1952 Chevy Deluxe fastback. In high school my peers laughed. When I took it to college, everyone was jealous of it. Funny how context is everything!

I also relied on a pair of Chucks or KMart special mountain bike for transportation during my high school years. First car was an '88 Pontiac 6000. That car took everything I threw at it, well, except a Volkswagen, and even then it was only a TKO.

    My mom's vw Rabbit (fuel-injected).

In college, my first car was a '72 super beetle, then a '78 Honda Accord fastback.

First car I ever bought myself, was a '76 Gran Torino (351w-2v)

When I graduated college, I bought a brand new '80 Honda Accord LX 2 door hatchback. Great car. Wish I had bought 5 of them and stored them away.

Then in 1985, bought a new '83 XJ550, my first and only motorcyle. Still have it!

Yeah.... Small car, but the longer back made it look sweet-- and a lot better than the civic ( sister had one of those....). The accord won every time--- loved that stick shift, too ..... Couldn't stall it. Most fun car I ever had. Most comfortable, ever, was my '92 Crown Victoria.....but am quickly falling in love with my current '95 t'bird

Bought and learned how to drive a stick with a buddy in a ford pinto then mom made me get my $ back (it had tickets).
Bought a datsun b210 that started and smoked like hell cause the head was cracked. Yep, mom and $ back. So I bought a 26" ten speed and a walkman. First car I bought and kept was a '79 Toyota Celica in the mid 80's.

1974 Nova, bought it myself. I put on aluminum mags and wide tires. Rebuilt a 350 for it and it would run pretty good.

Never had a car but my first truck was right out of high school and it was a 1983 Toyota 4x4. Loved that truck and should've never sold it.
