    Hello to all of you!
I've been lurking here for a while, but I'm happy to finally join you as a member.

I'm a happy owner of a 1990 XJ600, but I recently came across an interesting XJ900 for sale, which I'm interested in buying.
It has some modifications which I've never seen before (pic rel). The owner claims it's a police version (imported from Netherlands) and I wonder if anyone here is able to confirm this. I searched the internet and haven't found anything. Does anyone know if there was a special police version XJ900 in 1989?

Nice looking bike! Welcome to the group. If you post the bikes VIN there are people here that know what it means! Not sure if the Police models had special identifiers.

If it's a police model where is the high amperage alternator? (the cover would be different)
Where are the remnants of the lighting system?
    Where is the radio box?
    Where are the case guards?

That's a nice aftermarket fairing, but it's no police bike.

That's what I thought. No signs of any additional lighting seemed odd, if it really was a police bike. Nevertheless, it looks quite appealing to me. I hear it's also supposed to have some storage compartments in the front fearing, which would be quite handy.
