The carbs from an XJ750 are the same, save for the main jets and jet needle.
Maxim 650 and Seca 650 carbs are identical.

The main carb on mine is pouring gas and can't get it to quit. I was told to just find a diffrwnt set of carbs. Depending on your price maybe a set of already done ones @hogfiddles

You were told wrong. All yours need is a good cleaning and maybe a few parts replaced.
It may even just be a stuck float or a bit of crud between the float needle and its seat.
BTW, there is no main carb. There are a set of four that work in concert.

These threads will give you a look inside, and an idea of what to do (after teardown and diagnosis of what actually needs doing).

    IN THE CHURCH OF CLEAN

Replacing your Hitachi throttle shaft seals

    Inside your Carbs

    Setting the fuel levels

If you're not comfortable doing the work we can guide you through, or you can have them done by Hogfiddles (he does excellent work).

There is no MAIN carb. All four rare equally important, unless you mean #3, since the others are synced to it. Regardless, if you get another rack, you're gonna have to do it or have it done anyway, if it hasn't already been done.

Unless yours is BROKEN, it's due for rebuilding. Yeah, you can swap just a valve and seat, but then you do another, then another, then a seal, then another, then a gasket, then another,etc......that's why we suggest if you have to do one thing, do it all and be DONE with it for a long long time.

I haven't had the carbs off my running bikes in 15 or more years now.

If you want to talk about rebuild services, sent me a private conversation.'
