750 air box for 550 -same??

    Does anyone know of a maxim 750 air box is the same as a xj550

    Guess they are not. Looking over picture of airboxes that posted to fit the xj550 but they are a top entry. When you go to the schematic for them it’s a side entry. Looks to be the only difference though I can see without having both in front to measure ...

    Hard to find one for a 550 here. Seems lots of 650 but the 550 are sparse

    Different frame, different engine, different box. Someone here should be able to help you source one.

    There are pods on it now and from what I have read on here pods take a lot of work and tinkering with. So figured I’d go back to the original air box. Maybe my next one I will do pods lol
