Repairing Seca 650 Tach/Speedo?

Has anybody had any luck disassembling the apparently sealed tach or speedo for the Seca 650? I have a couple of each is various states of not working but have not been able to get them apart. They appear to be well sealed and I would rather not do them terminal damage in disassembly. Yes I know the Maxim instruments are easily taken apart.

Then you might want to reach out to Don Fulsang in Florida, he does the gauges for the Kaw Triples but you need to slowly work your way around the crimped sealing ring, slowly working it open....there is no shortcut to opening them up.

Thanks JeffK. I was convinced the bodies of the tach & speedo were glued or screwed together. Upon further, closer, examination you are correct. The face plate is crimped on. With about an hour's worth of slowly prying the ring open I was able to separate the pieces. This tach is from what I suspect was a flood bike. The bits all move but are corroded. There will be nothing lost attempting to clean all the bits. Stand by for results.
