I have those and use them often. My only complain is that it takes a lot of heat to melt the solder inside, nearly to the point of melting the outer sleeves.

Or maybe I need to read the instructions again.
But the product (idea) is great and yes, you can really pull on this and wires do not come apart.

Do you need a special heat gun? Looks like a tiny "nozzle" (for lack of a better word...) in the little example animation that appears on the product page.

You can use them with a little propane torch if your careful but heat gun is almost errorless. I’ve used these (different brand) but they do work well.

Those look cool! My soldering iron seems to be MIA whenever I need it. I think I need a set of these.

Found a pic. Used them here to wire up aftermarket radio connector to wiring harness connector.

in the video a flag pops up saying you can use a hair blower (drier?).

someone used to sell solder strips that you wrap around the wire and use a lighter to melt it.

For whatever reason my solder irons do not get hot enough after a few times of use and can't really solder with them. But I have the cheapo ones.
Looked at solder guns, are they any better?

make sure the tip is tight, tin the tip before using. I have a couple of those old weller soldering guns work good and have different size tips available for then.
needed a tip so I cut a coat hanger and made one.
they are good because the gun has different heat ranges to use

i have a Weller gun that's older than my XJ, make new tips from #14 house wire.
you need 60/40 electronic solder and a can of rosin flux. plumber's solder without lead just plain sucks, don't even try

Heat the wire first the apply the solder to the joint.
