Well, that didn't go on as smoothly as I hoped. Anyway, I have a complete headlight assembly for a 1982 Seca 650 for sale. I have accumulated all the bits and when I attempted to install to replace the Suzuki SV650 headlight and bucket that has been on my Seca for about 18 years I found the chrome bezel to be quite rusty. I decided to stay with what works. The bucket for sale I bought on e-bay a few weeks ago, it is in nice shape. The reflector and lens came from what I think was a flood bike but is also in nice shape, the reflector is clean and bright, no peeling of the silvering. The bezel is quite rusty but does still hold everything together. I am going to ask $60 for the entire assembly plus $10 shipping, anything over that I will eat. Any further pictures you what, just let me know.
    Thanks,
    John

first you have a narrow market to sell the headlight to 1 year bike.
the Headlight ring looks like it is rotted through. any one who wants to mount the headlight to another bike will need to buy the mounting bracket another hard part to find.

most who would buy it are looking to restore a XJ650RJ, they want solid parts

Good thing then that it is sold and you are not in the market. Rather impolite to trash someone's ad in such a manner.

And I have seen WORSE ones for sale on eBay that have sold for TWICE the price.

I thought the asking price was quite reasonable especially considering there were available here for only one year. They don't show up very often.

I love that monster sized headlight. It's what makes the RJ... well, the RJ! Glad you found a home for the parts.
