It's kind of like the bikes history. If it were me I'd probably leave it but to each his own

Paint stripping air gun? Some chem tool and a cloth or "Q" tip. The good news is no paint to worry about coming off with it.

You can hook up the tether switch in place of the sidestand switch.
Standard setup cuts the ignition when the sidestand is deployed. It should be easy enough to wire your tether to do the same thing, and have it connect with bullet terminals just like the sidestand switch does.

Is the dealer sticker paper, or foil?

Ok thanks ill just wire it in parallel so they both work
Its like a foil plastic thing, however i think i might leave it as like its birthmark :)

Ok, so the saddlebags used to be tied together, and draped over the grab handles on the rear, this not only hid the handles, and the pretty chrome shock, but made it nearly impossible for a passenger to hold onto them.... Kinda dumb.
So i took the bag support, welded in a cross bar and an extended lower support, folded the strap over the cross bar n riveted it back to the bag.
This liwers the bag and pushes it back, exposing the grab handles and shock when remounted.
Herses a pick of the improved mount, ill post one of em installed when i get to it. :)

Just to note, on the last picture, that center bar was where the current lower bag support is now, really interested how it will look instalked with the bags so low... Kinda held it in place, think it will be pretty gnarly

So i put the exhaust and tank on yseterday and pulled the ol girl outta the shed to fire it up...
First the starter wouldnt crank, i had forgotten to tighten the bolts and it wasnt grounding... Dummy
Then the choke was sticking, i routed the cable shitty...
Then i noticed the low fuel sender was leaking gas and it basically melted the paint off my valve cover...
I went to pull the tank back off and the petcock i just rebuilt wouldnt shut off...
I gave up and figured id work on it today...
    Does life hate me?
    image.jpeg
And the new cover i bought doenst quite fit... (Its infront of the door in pic)

Heres a pic of the new saddle bag mounts installed with painted grab handles.
Not so happy with the handles... They look great from far but are far from great ;)

It ran great by the way, then it started raining... Just enough to get cold n wet... Damn
