    Hello everyone,

    I really need a 82 Seca 550 triple clamp setup. The bike I bought was in a front end collision and upon attempting to replace the bent forks with 81 Suzuki GS750L bodies, I realized that the stem on my setup was also bent forward. I am going to attempt to make the Suzuki triple tree work, but concerned about the spacing between bearings.

    If anyone has one or willing to part ways with one please message me!!!!!

    I have a 82 xj750 maxim tree. Not sure if it fits?

    AH, nope the xj750 has 37mm clamps. The Suzuki fork I'm converting to (have already purchased and rebuilt, seals) is 35mm.

    it would have those cast risers straight up. cast into the top tree similar to the 650 bracket except it is not split at the back . 650 is split and uses an allen bolt to clamp it closed

    Angled risers are indicative of Maxim models I believe. My Seca had straight risers originally.

    If the steering stem was bent then it is highly likely that the frame was bent as well.

    Frame seems to be okay. Local bike restoration shop took a look at it while replacing the head bearings. New races fit right in. Any other tells that would tip me off to a bent frame? I would like to keep this bike, but it has definitely turned into quite the project.

    Good thing it was only $350.

    Will post pictures once the front end is swapped out and it is not raining.
