I'm guessing that the people on this board that know anything will ask to see the picture (I think you need more posts before you can post a picture.)

they'll also want to know what bike you have

The boost sensor sends a signal to the TCI and changes the ignition advance based on vacuum from the carb port. Go ahead and fix the wire connections, it will run without it but rubs better when it it.
I run NGK plugs , they are easy for me to get at the parts store.

boost sensor is under the tank mounted to the left of the voltage regulator. The box under the seat is the TCI ignition. The wire near the battery if it is white with a red stripe it the battery level sensor. Most bypass it so the alarm wont bother you.
A few pics of what you are seeing would be nice.

The three pin plug has the ground wire which then goes into the loom which then links up with the igniter unit and the spigot connects via a rubber hose to the corresponding number two carb spigot.

Im just going to buy a boost sensor, also I got a line going to the "octopus" thats pinched off, what type fuel line is recommended and routing for lines, I believe mine are too long.

Some boost sensors can get broken and there is a test procedure to check if it's working. I can't remember now, but it's in the service manual for the XJ1100, probably the 650 Turbo too.
As someone pointed out in one of the previous posts, one of the Jetmech or Jetfixer I think, the bike will run the same with or without the boost sensor, so I wouldn't worry too much, unless you've simply got to have it.

FSM calls it pressure sensor, wiring diagram calls it a boost sensor

    XJ1100 models:

Flasher: on a tab bracket welded behind the right side frame cover, near the fusebox.
Flasher canceller: on a "skinny" tab bracket welded in-between the upper frame rails, to the rear of the ignition coils.
Starter motor solenoid/relay: behind the right side frame cover, to the rear of the fusebox, housed within a round rubber grommet with a thick, rectangular rubber "foot", the foot being attached to plastic pegs.
Starter/Ignition cut-off relay (no color): under the fuel tank, behind the right side ignition coil.
Sidestand (kickstand) relay (blue): under the fuel tank, behind the left side ignition coil.
    Headlight relay (yellow): not used
Hazard flasher relay (metal "can"): behind the battery, on the left side of bike.
Safety relay diode: outside the main wiring harness bundle, in the area just behind the fuel tank.
Neutral switch: in a hole in the bottom of the crankcase, just "outside" of the oil pan, on the bottom of the engine, up inside a recessed "well".
Emergency stop switch: under the fuel tank, behind the ignition coils.
Manifold pressure sensor: under gas tank, behind left side ignition coil, in front of reg/rectifier
Reserve lighting unit: under the seat.
