Time to sell it. I purchased this bike as bone stock in August of 2018. I have the original title and I even have the original bank check the man used to buy it in Brazoria County way back in 1981. I have a lot of the original paperwork and a service / repair manual. I am asking $4500.00. The bike runs good. It has parts from dime city cycles, revival cycle, and Dennis Kirk. The carbs have been rebuilt and sync'd. I am located in the Dallas / Fort Worth area. I have another project I am working on so I am not interested in trades. Cash only.

Took me a while to type this, had to get up off the floor from reading the first post. Best of luck with the sale...think you should post that on ebay....that is the clientele you are looking for.

If you had bought a 650 Seca (one-year-only machine in North America, and very desirable), and restored it to showroom condition you might have the a chance to break even (if you don't count your labor costs).
You have a very common model.
It's been customized to your tastes.
Building a UJM is a labor of love. Turning a profit is rare.

Keep it. Ride it. Enjoy the fruits of your labor.

I guess it depends on one's definition of "fixing things up"
