    Hey guys,

I feel that i should've been able to find this information without having to ask, but here I am once again. I know that the wheel diameters and widths are different for the two bikes. My first concern is the axle size (cant believe i couldn't find this online. Is there a database somewhere someone could tell me about?). Second, if the wheel diameters are different, does that mean that rear shocks will need to be changed as well?

My main goal is to level the bike out as much as possible, but I also like the appearance of the SECA wheels more than the maxim. (added a picture to clarify exactly which wheels i'm looking for)

Just found the front axle on XJ4ever and it says it fits all 550 models, so I'm sure that should work. They don't appear to offer rear axles for 550 models though, so if anyone could still help me with that I would appreciate the advice.

One more thing just came to mind if someone could help me with this as well....

Whats everyones thoughts on keeping the maxim front wheel, and swapping to the straight spoke SECA rear wheel? I'm asking only because the straight spoke front wheel seems impossible to find.

Besides looking completely different and sending my OCD through the roof... the rear SECA wheel is more narrow then the Maxim rear wheel, so I would imagine that this swap would bring the width of the front and rear wheel closer together. Would this have negative side effects to handling or leaning?

Rear axles are also the same for all XJ550 models.

Are you meaning you aren't sure about axle or wheel size?

Any idea how changing the width of the rear wheel might affect handling?

I think the width will have less affect than the increased diameter. The 18" rear wheel will raise the rear of the bike about 3/4".
This will lessen the rake angle and quicken the steering.
