Hey all, I recently bought an 86 XJ700 for $50 from a friend and it’s been sitting for a while but after a thorough cleaning of the carb it fired right up and I rode it around a bit but it does need a rebuild kit for the carbs. I can’t find really what I’m looking for for the XJ700 but I did find found a decent looking kit on eBay for the 650 and I understand that many parts are compatible between the two bikes but before spending the money I figured I’d ask some more knowledgeable people on the forum. Any help would be awesome! Thank you

Do not buy carburetor parts off of eBay or any where other than xj4ever. Some of the aftermarket parts are not up to specs. If you get it from Chacal (xj4ever) it will be the right part.

    you have hatachi 33 carbs
the only thing you need to rebuild is the throttle shaft seals , fuel rail orings and the mixture screw orings. maybe the bowl gasket and drain screws.
unless your jets are mangled they just need to be cleaned
you may need the washers and springs for the mixture screws if they are rusty

Thank you everyone for steering me in the right direction, I’m in touch with Chacal now sorting out what parts I will be needing!
