Is it hard to remove the carbs from a Seca 650?

    Any tips for getting the carbs out without damaging the airbox? Doesn't look like there is any room to force this old rubber apart enough to get the carbs out. Tia

    If you can warm the boots up they become softer and can be removed so much easier.

    You’ll have to push the boots into the air box just far enough to clear the carbs. Don’t push them all the way into the air box. This step occurs immediately after warming up the boots with a hair dryer or gently with a heat gun.

    You can loosen a couple of bolts to slide the airbox back. That plus pushing the boots into the airbox will give you all the space you need.

    Thanks for the tips. Bike hasn't ben started in 15 years from what I know. De rusting the gas tank is step 1. It turns over fine by hand. I'll add fresh gas sometime next week and see if I can get it running. Clean carbs as step 2 is my plan.
