Picked up this 83 maxim only 7400 miles on it. Has been sitting with old gas. Pulled the carbs and gave them a good clean in the ultrasonic, the carb boots are still nice and soft so when in easy. Waiting on a key to be made so I can ride. Hot wired it and runs great just needs to be ridden. Hello from Calgary area.

Soft intake boots means that she was either worked on, or stored properly. Good find.

That looks fantastic! Nice bright colors on the gauges means it was out of the sun. Look at replacing critical rubber items ASAP though, tires, brake lines come to mind.

New tires are on now. Rubber looks good but not a bad idea. Spent most this evening trying to tune the carbs to trace it back to a bad diaphragm in the petcock Zi believe

Any one know where to get a right side cover? And why so rare? I ordered one from a 1100 thinking it might work but looks different.
