Yes, just been bloody busy, carbs are off, ultrasonic cleaner, then carb kit
Joining the stable with my near mint XJ750RJ (Tourer) and my decent XJ750 Seca

the 9 isn't mint.......but it's not too far off, if I wanted it to be......

I just want to get her on the road, and put some miles, on, might refresh over Winter ( Pics to follow, and VIN, for Hogfiddles )

Mainly its the engine cases, engine, ....finish has worn off, fallen off on quite a few areas......frame is pretty decent.....was a bit scabby, wiring is very decent ( part from a little where the mouse nest was located, they chewed though insulation but NOT wires, lol.....Also they set up home in the airbox/carbs and ate the air filter completely !!!)
Bodywork is very very decent, even have the tank side pods.... ;) Tank is clean inside, and out.....everythign works, switchgear is quite a bit sunburnt, but which XJ's weren't, lol

Clocks etc seem pretty good though.....missing a couple of plastic bar ends...

Thanks...anyhoo, anything you can tell me about the 9 is appreciated.....previously registered in the database?

    Engine number makes it......?? ( young/old??) !!

I'm loathe to take the motor out......maybe, later, just want to ride it.....but the Engine black is in poor state in quite a few spots?

    Options, if any???

VIN# puts it in the 106th place currently.
Mileage is in the overall average range with others
Looks like it’s 1 of 12 in NY

So only 3 others, apart from yours......and mine, lol !!
    Thanks for the info!!
( Does the later 1/2 fairing fit right on....with appropriate bracket, obviously??...Any other changes need to be made, to accommodate it...?
Might consider it, as an option, depending on just how bad the weave is ...although, I'm going to perhaps try one of my XJ7's steering dampers, OEM, on her first!)

If you put the later fairing on, you’ll bed the bracket for that. The earlier smaller ones are fork-mount; the later one is larger and is frame-mount.

I have not had any problem with fairing wobble

    Good to hear....
I MUCH prefer the look of the earlier, fork mounted fairing...

    Does it 'flex' at speed?

Any flip up options for the screen??

    Thanks !!!

You'll be looking for unicorn poop trying to find a flip-up screen for that. I couldn't find one for mine and that's a decade younger.
Rather, I did find a couple of them being sold by greedy bastards, so I just put my own extension on, which works well enough.

Just a thought; Gustafsson Plastics might have something, but it won't be cheap.
