I feel like my body betrayed me. I can't ride a bike with low bars anymore. They are so beautiful though.

Those signal "indicators" in the uk, are xj diversion, have a set on my converted maxim. I think they work, but of course they're lower down, on the fork covers.

Polock! Long time, my friend. Yes, I did. I gave it to #1 son for his 21st birthday (4+ years ago) and he's doing quite a good job of keeping it up. It needs to be ridden and I just can't ride multiple bikes anymore. We have an ongoing shininess competition.

Toomanybikes; close but no cigar. Black fork legs and rear footpeg brackets are stock for the '83. The luggage rack is a long OOP GSM "Sportrack" which is a period accessory. I lucked out finding it; back in the '80s I had a factory rack on my SR500 that was very similar.

The fork boots are Kawasaki factory parts for some bike they didn't bring to the States, they have inner ridges that snap into the upper grooves on the Yamaha forks like they were made for them. Rear shocks are Progressive Suspension 412s (available in black.) Floating rotor is an EBC with the hub painted black.

Turn signals are indeed later Yamaha "pattern" similar to later FJ600s, etc., but they are aftermarket from K&S.

The original seat was recontoured, the riding "platform" shifted rearward and "upfoamed" and recovered by https://www.sargentcycle.com/ and a colored welt added to match the maroon in the stripes. Sargent are excellent people to work with and they truly know their stuff. I sent them a photo that I had rather primitively drawn on with MS Paint showing them what I wanted done. They called me and we hashed out final details; the finished product is beautiful. And more importantly, "all-day" comfy.

Stuff you guys can't see or didn't notice:
    -Progressive suspension fork springs
-Custom (black sheathed) stainless brake lines, custom because of
-Euro bend low handlebar (black nickel plate)
-Genuine NOS NAVA GranTurismo grips (older than the bike)
    -Napoleon BarEnz mirrors
-160mph speedo (from XJ900) transplanted into cluster
    -Candlepower brand SuperBlu headlight, with
    -PIAA Anti-vibration super bright bulb
    -Headlight modulator
-Formotion analog clock (almost matches instruments)
-Numerous bits powder coated gloss black: Headlight shell and ears, carb hats, rear brake backing plate and lever, luggage rack
-Original fusebox rebuilt with new clips
-Small diameter, black Acumen brand uber loud Euro spec horns from the UK (OOP I believe)
    -Avon AM26 Roadrider tires

And I'm sure I forgot something. So yeah, it only looks stock.
