    Hi,

I have a project with a carburator (Hitachi) damaged beyond repair.

Which carburators are suited to fit my xj750y 41 1986? As the hitachis are difficult to find here in the Netherlands.

Will the mikuni 33 also do the job? For example from a 91 xj600?

Please if someone can share their experiences with swapping carburators that would be great.

There are members here who would consider that statement a direct challenge. What exactly is wrong?

With the world wide web why restrict your search to the Netherlands? I'm not sure about subtleties between your 1986 750 and an 82 750 Seca or Maxim but the Hitachi units from those will get you running and are very easy to find, at least here in N. America. Refer to Chacal's catalogue here and you will see what jetting changes might be required. You might have all the parts you need in your current bank of carbs to pick from, again you haven't described the issue with them.

That example will not work as the XJ600 Diversion has down draught carbs.

How about the 85-86 Xj700n 33 hitachi carbs should work or any 84 xj750 r carbs that are also 33 hitachi.

Those carbs are fairly easy to obtain overhere.. on a place called marktplaats of ebay.
I still have a good set of carbs for a seca 750 so a little rejetting perhaps and go.

It’s still a 750 so try it with stock jets and see what happens. You may lose a bit of power over 7000 rpm due to better flow of the 33 mm stock carbs if you rev it that high.
