Yamaha's silver / gray is a beautiful color. Nice job. Looking at the bike transport me back in time.

Couldn't find the original color, except getting a custom mix at the
automotive paint store, very expensive. I researched Rustoleum
products and found "Silver Metal Flake" in rattle cans. Following
rattlecan techniques gleaned from Youtube, I applied 3 coats and
clear coated with 2 coats of spraymax clear glamour ( respirator please)
The paint and clear coat are obtainable on Amazon. The whole job; including
Bondo, sandpaper, primer, tape, color coat, decals and clear coat was under
$100 bucks. Don't know how this will stand up to UV s but it looks good now.

Only we know it’s not the original colour, and we think it’s a wonderful job Joe.

I've saved the picture so I have something to aim for with my Seca 650. I now have nearly all the bits, exception is the rev counter (tach) which is electronic, so if anyone has a mechanical one please let me know.
