    Hi,
I have a broken camshaft bearing cap, it is the mount for the valve cover bolt that is cracked as illustrated in the attached picture.

Anyone have any experience of fixing this? I am thinking some liquid metal and helicoil?

    Br Fredrik

That's just for securing the cover. Fit a replacement one, be easier than repairing it.

As Franz stated ...replace it, xj4ever or eBay . If it was external, JB weld would work ...but inside of engine even I would not do that , slot of heat and hot oil and if it were to break away could do real damage to the engine..

If you replace it, pay careful attention to size. Use plastigage to determine clearance on the one you take off and compare the replacement to it.
