Hey all. I’ve got an 82 Maxim 750. Purchased it and got it running. When I first hooked up a new battery everything worked fine. Was tinkering with the carbs to get it started. Half way through my dash shut off. I’m at a loss. I’ve tore everything apart and inspected everything and it all looks okay. The backlights to the dash light up but that’s it. No brake lights or turn signals. Headlight works fine. Do I just have a bad Atari? (Forgot to mention it started and ran with the dash inoperative like this.)

I have checked. All of them look good. Are there any others other than the main ones on the air box? I saw the one in the headlight bucket but it looks good as well.

image.jpg image.jpg Sometimes you just need someone to tell you to double check your work fuse was good but there was a broken wire where the previous wire tried to hook up new fuses. Got it twisted together for now and everything comes on. Thanks, Hog. Time to hit up Chacal for some parts

Might want to consider adding a small fuse box and eliminating that rats nest of inline fuses. Not that I should talk....

get a cheap soldering iron and learn to solder at minimum up grade those fuse holders to blade style inlines.

you will need 1 rated at 30 amps for the main fuse.

that 5 amp fuse is for the lighting system in the atari

Gonna clean everything up a bit tonight. Previous owner did not do this bike any justice! Going to rebuild it and hopefully have it on the road in the next few months.
