i have a 1982 xj750j that sat in a garage since 2011 when last used by my father. i cleaned and rebuilt the carbs and it fired up instantly and runs as strong as it did when last used regularly. i considered keeping it, but don't have tremendous interest in riding any more. and it seems parts are difficult to get for it. is there any demand for these bikes anymore, is is it a trip to the scrapper?

Yes, there is interest in these bikes, look at how many of us there is here. If it runs that is a big plus and if it is not rusted to a solid piece or beat to death it can be a good member of the XJ motorcycling community.

One of the gang will take that machine off your hands. Too good to scrap it.
