So I bought a set of antidive actuators from eBay all the way from the UK (no luck getting them in Aus).
They're in awesome condition BUT.. they are literally gummed up with old Brake Fluid.. I reckon they've been sitting for 40 years with the air drying the old fluid.

    So..

    1. Any suggestions for getting the sludge out (it's the consistency of soft clay - brake cleaner hasn't done much lol)
    2. How the heck do I get the piston out???

I used carb cleaner to clear out the glycol residue when I refurbed my anti-dive units.

I used a grease gun, it's a bit messy and required a bit of cleanup but works very well. It also prevents any scratching of the bore from the temptation of stabbing at it with hard tools

Grease gun after a long soak. If it's still stuck then use a hammer and a fire-hardened hardwood dowel to drift it out.
