Looks rust free. Was the whole frame dunked at once?

Hi @Huntchuks. No, I was not able to dunk the entire frame in one shot.

I have a 55 gallon storage tote thing from the Home Depot - big rectangular box. It's big, but it's not THAT big.

I just kind of moved the frame every day when I cleaned the anodes for about 10 days to try to get as much as I could.

You can kind of see this little section forward from the rear tank mount that never really got dunked, so I will have to media blast all of that:

How did your dunked tank turn out?

Here is the tank I cooked earlier. You can tell how bad the exterior finish was by how much of it came off in the tank.

Here’s the current anode collection I’m using

Progression of anode stock I’ve used. Some of the first on the left. The stuff on the right is next.

XJ650RJ Seca calipers are black all over, ribs and all. Other models from this era had the tops of the ribs polished to a bright finish.

It doesn’t seem like any silver RJs in the US had the rear “YAMAHA” sticker on the tail cover, even though it shows up on parts fiche.

Has anyone ever seen an example of a silver US RJ with the Yamaha emblem on the back?

this is @hogfiddles RJ collection and it doesn’t look like any of them have the emblem on the tail:

The State Farm sticker is a very rare option. Total unobtainium
